Image hosting questions, answered
Find practical details about supported files, upload limits, public links, embeds, privacy, and removal requests.
Do I need an account to upload images?
No. Imgdock does not require an account before you upload or create a sharing link.
Which image formats are supported?
Imgdock accepts JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP, BMP, and TIFF image files. SVG is not accepted.
What is the maximum image size?
Each image can be up to 10MB. You can select multiple valid images and upload them in sequence.
What is the upload rate limit?
The current fair-use limit is 30 uploads per hour for each IP address.
What is the difference between a page link and a direct link?
A page link opens the Imgdock image viewer. A direct link returns the image file and is the better choice for image fields and embeds.
Can I embed an uploaded image?
Yes. After uploading, Imgdock provides a direct URL as well as ready-to-copy Markdown and HTML snippets.
Are uploaded images private?
No. Uploaded images are publicly accessible to anyone who has their generated URL. Do not upload confidential or sensitive images.
How do I request image deletion?
Email the address listed in the Privacy Policy and include the Imgdock image URL you want removed.
